Sam Haiby has been playing some good basketball to start the season.
The 5-foot-9 junior guard was just named to the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll Monday for her effort against Illinois. Haiby scored a career high 33 points, adding nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Through three games, Haiby is leading the Huskers in scoring in scoring (17.7 ppg), rebounding (9.3 rpg) and assists (4.7 apg).
This is Haiby’s third time on the honor roll after earning the accolade twice last season.
Nebraska is at Creighton tonight. Tip is set for 5 p.m. in Omaha.
