Do you number drinking Kool aid as a kid? Maybe you still do today. You know how small those packets are? Well the guy in, you guessed it, Florida figured out a way to steal almost a $1000 from Walmart by using Kool aid packets..
This ingenious thief, grabbed large ticket items like video game systems, TV’s, etc and would take the Kool-Aid packet tape them on the bottom of the box and scan it in the self check out. Each one of the items would ring up as 24 cents each. He was able to do this quite a few times until the store cameras picked up on it. That’s when they stopped him to check the receipt on the way out. As you might have guessed, a Toshiba 27″ TV is not 24 cents.
