Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths In Lancaster County

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department  today announced that two more local residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in Lancaster County to 23.  The individuals were a woman in her 60’s and a man in his 70’s.  Both were hospitalized.

The Health Department confirmed 80 new COVID-19 cases in the county today bringing the community total to 5.468.  Recoveries are up from 2,113 to 2,180 The positivity rate in Lancaster County remains at 7.9%.  The Nebraska rate is up from 9.5% to 9.6% with the national rate steady at 8.5%

There are 30 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Lancaster County.  Two people are on ventilators.

  • Bryan Health: LifePointe, 7501 S. 27th St.
  • CHI Health St. Elizabeth: Gateway Mall, 6100 “O” St., northwest corner of the mall.
  • Test Nebraska: Gateway Mall, northwest corner of the mall.  Test Nebraska appointment times are from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m. today through Saturday.

The COVID-19 Risk Dial is at “Orange,” indicating a high risk of the virus spreading.
