All The Taste Of Bud Without The Calories…Or The Alcohol?

By News Aug 3, 2020 | 8:14 AM

In these days of shelter-in-place, many of us have been packing on a few extra pounds…and beer doesn’t help it. Beer sales have jumped 20% since COVID-19 arrived in March.  Believe it or not, non-alcoholic beer has jumped 35% in sales, as well.

The average 12 oz calorie count:

  • Budweiser = 145 calories
  • Coors = 145 calories
  • Coors Light = 102 calories
  • Corona Extra = 148 calories
  • Corona Light = 99 calories
  • Miller MGD 64 = 64 calories
  • O’Doul’s = 65 calories

Each one of these beers contain alcohol, with the exception of O’Doul’s. Bud is not to be outdone, they have introduced Bud Zero, which has 50 calories.

he name Bud Zero doesn’t mean zero calories, rather, no sugars. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?

Ya, but….

Sugar also equates to alcohol.

This new ale…er…soft drink…um…alcohol flavored beverage even beats out the hard seltzer fad, which averages 70-100 calories per can.

So, if you want to drop a few pound, don’t mind missing out on the beer buzz and have no tolerance for Hard Seltzers, then this could be your drink of choice.

However, without the alcohol content, what the point? But that is just one man’s question.
