If it wasn’t bad enough that graduations around the country being cancelled, the amount of disappointment has been abounding.
There were, however, some schools that were able to make a real walk-the-stage moment possible. Ashley Ridge High School was able to make it happen. This was a great moment that many High Schoolers weren’t able to enjoy. However, with every big event, something goes is bound to go wrong. They always say that if something goes wrong, it makes it more memorable. This was no exception to that rule
Looking at the setting, the chairs were all lined up, the grass was cut, the maintenance crew had it all set up. You would think that they had everything ready to go…they did, except for one problem…Just as the principal was introducing the valedictorian, the sprinkler system went off.
Well…. students at Ashley Ridge High School got quite the surprise during their graduation today! Check it out!

At least everyone enjoyed the funny moment, as all the kids got up and moved away from the water, as it was a shock, but the principal made light of it with:
“Hey, y’all complain about the heat, we bring you water.”
The school district also said the families enjoyed it:
“It was a moment that the students enjoyed as part of an unusual graduation season…Parents seemed to enjoy it as well.”
At least they had a graduation ceremony, which is more than most students got.
