I am not a fan of wearing masks. (As a matter of fact, I hate them) Unfortunately, they are a necessary evil, so we have to deal with. They call it part of the “new normal”.
Anyhoo…
While we are all trying to prevent getting the ‘rona, masks are not able to be protect you from your co-workers from recognizing you, nor can it change your voice.
In this case, a woman who works at a Subway in New Mexico tried to do exactly that. She thought the mask would help her rob her place of business. Here is the problem, while she wasn’t recognized by sight, she WAS recognized by her voice.
Expected results: The police came and arrested her.
And of course, it was all a mistake.
Why did she do it? Rather, her excuse:
“to teach her coworkers a lesson about what could happen late at night in that part of town.
um…no
