Dumbass Of The Day: The New US Quarter

By News May 12, 2020 | 8:53 AM

It is not an unheard of statement, government intelligence is an oxymoron.

Now, before you damn me for for making a, seemingly, political statement, let me assure you, this is has nothing to do with politics. This has to do everything to do with the decision to continue with the creation of the new US Quarter.

Long before the Coronavirus, the US Mint made the decision to put a… fruit baton the back of the quarter for 2020. How ironic is it that a month later we would be dealing with a Pandemic?

This omen tinged quarter was put into circulation in February.

So why a bat?  It was supposed to honor the American Pacific Islands, specifically The National Park of America Samoa.

As the quarter was being released, the US Mint said,

“The image evokes the remarkable care and energy that this species puts into their offspring. The design is intended to promote awareness to the species’ threatened status due to habitat loss and commercial hunting.”

Now there is conspiracy that the US Government planned the whole thing. One thing you can probably guess, no one wanted to hang onto these things for very long. The question now is how long with the Government keep these things in circulation. Anyone who collects coins, I would suggest keeping a few, they could be worth quite a bit very soon…oh, another suggestion, don’t eat bats.
