2 things:
- Indiana is known for racing, but that is usually reserved for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
- I used to live in Montana before they added a speed limit
That being said, I have a bit of a soft spot for people who speed (not that I encourage anyone to do it)
Being that Indianapolis is a racing town, unfortunately, this happened in Elkhart, IN. Not a place exactly where racing is thought to take place, contrary to what the driver of a Mustang thought. Seems as though he was on a Toll-road in, what was supposed to be, a 70 mph zone.
The problem is that when the driver of the Mustang came up on the police he was doing 100 mph and he kept going.
The police lit him up and the chase began with the driver cutting off his lights and pushing his car to 120 mph The chase lasted for about 25 miles (which obviously didn’t last long, considering the speed their were traveling). Eventually, it all ended when the police put out their stop sticks.
When he earned his titanium bracelets, they asked him why did he not just pull over and get the ticket, he told them, he “thought they wanted to race”.
